Welcome to Township Trades! October 24, 2007

We’ve been working on this social business for over 450 days…setting up a business in the middle of an township is not easy as these pages testify.  Track the trials and tribulations of our progress on this blog.

• Township Trades is a start up social enterprise based in Khayelitsha township in South Africa. Our aim is to answer the urgent needs of young adults who have lost their parents to HIV. At Township Trades we believe there is a choice; we can abondon Africa's orphans to a life dependent on charity and government aid or we can provide them with the business skills to become independent through trade. Welcome to Township Trades.
